These environments included silicon design, manufacturing, and global enterprise resource planning (ERP). As a result of a meticulous planning process and following best practices, the migrations turned out to be less difficult—and the benefits greater—than originally anticipated.

Our Intel IT data center strategy is on track to deliver USD 650 million of value by 2014. A large driver is adopting the latest generation Intel® Xeon® processors, including the new Intel® Xeon® processor E7 family; testing results show up to a 35 percent performance improvement over prior generation Intel® Xeon® processor 7500.
